Somatic Awakening is an invitation to return to the body as a lived experience. Not to fix or optimize, but to listen more deeply and meet what is present. Beyond fast food wellness and quick solutions, this work is about getting better at feeling - not necessarily feeling better.
We move between stillness and intensity, rest and activation, expression and integration. There is space to explore, to slow down, and to stay in relationship with what is actually happening in your body. This is a space that invites self-agency, honesty, and connection - to yourself, to others, and to the living world.

Somatic Awakening

Somatic Awakening is my invitation to come back into the body as lived experience.
Rather than fixing or optimizing the body, this work invites a deeper listening…meeting what’s present without needing to change it but also allowing it to shift. In recent years, somatics has become a buzzword! I’ve seen it truly flattened, commodified, and packaged for fast consumption— I call it fast food wellness. In these wellness spaces, Somatics has been reduced to only techniques for calming, regulating, or feeling better as quickly as possible. Somatics has always been about getting better at feeling, not necessarily feeling better. Something essential has been lost throughout the years.
Somatic work was never meant to be fast process. It was never meant to be clean or convenient. And it was never separate from land, culture, or relationship.
Long before somatics became a trend, embodied ways of knowing were held within Indigenous and Earth-based cultures. The body was understood as inseparable from place, ancestry, ritual, and responsibility. Much of that lineage has been ignored, diluted, or redirected without acknowledgment. Somatics that I share is about remembering a relational way of being where sensation is not a tool, but a language… where awareness is not abstract, but alive as flesh, bones, gravity, and rhythm.
Somatic Awakening moves as sensation and meaning, stillness and intensity, rest and activation. At times, we will test edges and explore fuller expression. At other times, we slow down and integrate. This is a supportive space that invites self-agency and honest listening. You are encouraged to stay true to your own capacity, and stay in relationship with what’s actually happening in your body. Connection to self, to others, to the living world emerges through direct experience, not performance.
All bodies and genders are welcome. Curiosity, presence, and self-responsibility are essential.

Love, Satu

Our schedule

  • SAT
    10:00 - 12:00

    Remembering Earth as Kin

Remembering Earth as Kin // Authentic Flow: We begin Saturday by grounding into relationship. Through breath and movement, āsana, and somatic landscape sensing and listening, we tune into the intelligence that already moves through body, land, gravity, and rhythm. Boundaries are not erased, but felt as permeable, responsive and alive. Movement can unfold from sensation rather than form. Some moments may feel fluid and open, others quiet and contained… they are all part of the conversation. Music is too! We move slowly enough to listen. Presence over preference. Let the body show you how it belongs.
  • SAT
    12:00 - 13:00

    Break

Time for rest, nourishment, silence, journaling, or taking a walk.

    13:00-15:30

    Integrity in Stillness

Integrity in Stillness // Embodied Yin®️ + Somatic Inquiry: The afternoon deepens into the innermost layers. Through Yin-inspired shapes, inclusive listening, and guided inquiry, we explore the truth of stillness not as collapse, but as alive and as speaking. We stay close to sensation, tracking micro-shifts, impulse, resistance, and yes, movement. Stillness is moving. Stillness can reveal longing, discomfort, or clarity. Nothing needs to be resolved. We practice staying in relationship with what is … adjusting when needed, honoring limits, letting timing reveal itself. Real integrity is felt, not decided. It lives in pacing, honesty, and consent. Rest when you need. Stay in the process. Surf the Chi. (This session ends with a longer integration and quiet landing to prepare the nervous system for rest.)
  • SUN
    10:00 - 12:30

    We Are Nature

We Are Nature Remembering Herself // Shake the Dust®️: Sunday begins with activation from depth. HIIT but deep! Through shaking, rhythmic movement, patterns, breath, sound, rest, and instinctive expression, we invite charge and aliveness to move through the body. Emotion, intensity, and raw sensation may arise, always guided by awareness and choice. You’re encouraged to follow impulse while staying in conversation with capacity. Pausing, modulating, or resting is part of the intelligence of the practice. Here is no catharsis for its own sake But embodiment that can hold power and care at once. Come ready to move. Ready to feel. Ready to DANCE. Ready to inhabit your aliveness.
  • SUN
    12:30 - 13:30

    Break

A spacious pause for integration, hydration, and nervous system settling before the final descent.
  • SUN
    13:30-15:30

    SING

SING // Integration, Voice & Relational Presence: We close by gathering what has been awakened. This final session weaves gentle somatic movement, breath, sounding, and relational awareness into a collective field. Voice emerges as resonance… vibration moving through body, space, and listening. The session concludes with a Kirtan to settle, integrate, and anchor the work into shared presence. This is a remembering that sets a strong tone. Embodied. Relational. Ready to meet the world.
